Stop Resisting Resistance: How Increasing Your Voluntary Struggle Can Decrease Your Involuntary Suffering
The degree and type vary but general suffering is inevitable for every single human. However, according to Chris Matakas, there’s good news: we can decrease our involuntary suffering by volunteering for struggle. Just like any other muscle of the body, the more we voluntarily pursue the difficult instead of resisting it, the stronger we become to handle the vicissitudes of life. Available to us all are tools we can use to build strength and endurance as we engage with struggle, lessening the amount of suffering we encounter when the difficulties of life show up.
Audiences Will Learn:
-
Ways to shift your mindset to start seeing problems as opportunities (and why it matters)
-
How suffering and struggle differ and which aspects we can actually control to decrease suffering
-
Why resistance is a gift to all and the eternal wisdom it can teach those willing to learn from it
The Hero in Us All: How Embracing the Hero Archetype Can Unlock Maximum Achievement and Fulfillment
From Aladdin and Star Wars to religious and spiritual stories throughout the ages, the hero’s journey has always been fundamental to the human story. Chris Matakas says it's one we not only should learn from but also embrace and model our entire lives after. In fact, he says the archetype of the hero—the meta-action of the one who voluntarily confronts the difficult on behalf of the people they serve—is the best framework available for how we can navigate life to maximize our achievement and fulfillment for both ourselves and our community.
Audiences Will Learn:

How to retire the victim mindset and turn your life from a tragedy into a hero’s journey

On Behalf of Wholeness: How to Find the Experience of Wholeness That Aligns With Your Soul
Influenced by the teachings of Carl Jung, Chris Matakas also believes that we are all in pursuit of wholeness. Life requires many skills from us in order to be successful: we must master our health, finances, relationships, passions and profession, and mitigate our inherent tendencies toward self-destruction. To let any one of these fall behind, is to cause suffering. But if we pursue success in all the major arenas of our lives, we will find an exquisite wholeness awaiting us, one that is unique to the true desires of our souls.
Audiences Will Learn:
-
What wholeness actually looks like and why we all have an insatiable craving for it
-
How to identify which areas of your life are craving higher mastery from you (and may be currently holding you back from wholeness)
-
How to build a strong foundation of mastery that can be applied to any area of your life so that when you learn to master one thing, you can master anything

"BEFORE CHRIS TURNOVER WAS CRAZY HIGH. PROFITS WERE GREAT, BUT TEAM MEMBERS WERE GETTING BURNED OUT. HE MANAGED TO HELP OUR TEAM INTEGRATE HEALTH, WEALTH, AND HAPPINESS, AND TURNOVER IS DOWN AND PROFIT IS UP. HE'S OBVIOUSLY TOUGH FROM YEARS OF TRAINING JIU JITSU, AND CHRIS HAS AN ATTRACTIVE, POSITIVE ENERGY ABOUT HIMSELF. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."
